Vancouver Wedding - Sally + Chris
After doing Chris and Sally's e-session I was so excited for their wedding. They are not only photogenic but after hearing the details of their day I knew I would be in for a good one!
The girls started their morning (5 am for some!) at a hotel where had someone do their makeup and hair. As soon as I saw Sally in her dress, I was in shock, almost forgetting to start taking pictures. I stood their in aw, it was PERFECT for her petite figure.
The morning ceremony took place at Quilchena Golf Club in Richmond. Due to the rain it was moved inside where they decorated it beautifully for them!
After the ceremony it stopped pouring so we sauntered off to China Town to get some shots, we didn't have a place in mind so we just started walking around and decided the Chinese Gardens would be perfect! After taking pictures I took a break with the ladies and sipped on some tea while waiting for the venue to be done setting up so I could get some pictures inside before the guests arrived. Again I was in aw of how beautiful it looked! The reception was at the huge Floata Seafood Restaurant in China Town (actually the largest Chinese restaurant in Canada). I was so glad I only snacked all day since the reception included a 10 course meal!!
It was a beautiful evening, including dragon dancing, food, food and more food!
I am so happy for Sally and Chris, they are amazing people!

New Westminster Wedding - Melanie + Fritz
The morning poured rain. As we were sitting in the hotel room looking out of the window, we chatted about how rainy this summer has been and how it might affect picture taking for the formals. Melanie continued to get ready showing no signs of disappointment. After the ceremony we were en route to New West Quay for pictures and the rain stopped. It was perfect for lighting, big pillowy grey clouds. After we got back to the reception, the sun even greeted us. What luck they had!
It was a beautiful ceremony they shared with friends and family, especially their son. The look that Fritz had in his eyes when Melanie started to walk down the isle was full of love and respect. The vows contained the same thing without being planned, he promised to continue to eat his vegetables and she promised to continue to make him eat his vegetables!
All the best!
