Chris + Erin {Marriage} sneak peek..

Chris and Erin tied the knot on Saturday in Langley. Their wedding included friends and family and of course their 21 month old son. I met Chris and Erin a few months ago to meet and discuss their wedding, she told me she was expecting again but didn't know what she was having at that point. The morning of the wedding she told me she is expecting another boy! I even had to blink away some tears during the ceremony and again at the reception during a very special slideshow.
Chris is from Northern Ireland so they incorporated that into the wedding! Here are just a few!

Gage {Newborn}

Editing these pictures was a treat. I have been busy with engagements and weddings so it was nice to switch it up. There is something peaceful about editing images of a newborn, soft, gentle and innocent. He truly is a gorgeous baby, congratulations again Holly and Dan!

Shawn + Rebecca {Marriage} sneak peek..

I was very honored to be the one to photograph Shawn + Rebecca's Wedding, it was simply beautiful. I want to save all the details for the full blog post, so here are just a few teasers until I have finished editing!

Baby Gage {Newborn} sneak peek

I love when clients ask me back to photograph their new baby after doing maternity pictures for them! It completes their story.

On Thursday I met up with Holly + Dan to meet their little guy and he's absolutely adorable! It was his one month birthday and he did great. He was sleeping when I got there so I was able to get some of him off in la la land and then some when he woke up! His eyes are stunning. Here are just a few..

Dirt + Sunscreen

I forgot how much I missed the smell of dirt and sunscreen. After putting the first coat on Grayer this spring I couldn't get enough of it, slobbering him with kisses so I could get a sniff. I also missed the laugh he belts out after I spray each arm or leg and the growls when it's time to do the face.

The summer drawer has finally been opened and the shorts that have been waiting to be grown into are being warn with little pale skinny legs hanging out. The buzz cut has happened, we are ready to go! Where is the sun??

Yesterday started out pretty hot and sunny so I promised we would go have a picnic for dinner somewhere on a beach so he could 'dig'. After packing snacks and toys with a lather of sunscreen we were on our way to only hit the rain :( We didn't pack for rain, I looked in the back seat only to see a little guy who was trying to so hard to be patient holding a shovel. I couldn't break my promise..

What is is with boys throwing rocks into water? One after the other, trying to dig out the really bigs ones.

He held the rock like this for the longest time, like he was trying to find exactly where he wanted it to go in the water.

I cannot wait for all the adventures of the summer, more sunscreen, dirt and hopefully sun!

Knouff Lake Vacation

This past weekend we went to Knouff Lake Resort to celebrate Curt's 25th birthday! We were surrounded by tons of friends and family. My brother and his girlfriend and another couple even drove in from Calgary. It was a weekend of laughter and play oh and of course fishing! I highly recommend this resort, it has tons of cute little cabins right in front of the lake. Everyone is so friendly!

The first day we got there it was really nice and warm, the guys hopped on their boats right away to get some fishing in before dinner while the rest of us hung out with the kids.

The next two days were on and off rain but that didn't stop us from more fishing, eating, drinking and cooking up some smores!

(the view from our front deck)

On Sunday I was only out in the boat for about an hour and caught the biggest fish of the weekend! 2.5 lb trout, Curt's came in second at 2lbs.

And it was delicious!

What was my favorite part of the trip? I would have to say it is a tie between catching the toad with the kids and catching the fish.. I LOVED how the kids went crazy over the toad, the look on their faces, so amazed. That said the look on all the guys faces was pretty enjoyable too when I showed them up ;)

Here is to many more vacations and adventures!

Cody + Danielle { Married } continued..

Please don't hate me future brides, but after editing Cody and Danielle's wedding, I wouldn't mind doing another rainy day wedding! The overcast provided such good lighting and the use of the umbrellas really gave some of the pictures a romantic feel. It was the first rainy wedding I did (I know crazy right, we are in BC!) but yes the first and I am sure not the last. So for those brides who start looking at the forecast weeks before their weddings (I know you do..) it will be OK, just have to be a little more creative and adventurous!

While editing their wedding pictures, I don't think I came across one that they weren't smiling in! You can see how happy they and how much they are looking forward to being husband and wife. I am so happy for them. Her father walked her down the isle while her brother and his friend played the guitar, it doesn't get much better than that!

Here are a few more before I go away for the weekend!
